About The Bahamas

Although a well-established country with a thriving tourist industry, the Bahamas are seen as undeveloped by many.  The reason for this is that tourism, which makes up over 60% of GDP has been very focussed on US visitors.

The Bahamian government is keen to widen the appeal to a worldwide audience, and has made improvements to the airport by extending the runway and improving infrastructure so that the airport can welcome visitors from long-haul destinations.

A huge amount of high-quality local development is taking place on New Providence, which is driving property appreciation.  Significant developments include the Baha Mar at Cable Beach, the Albany Golf and Club resort on the south coast have a beneficial effect on local property values, while the personnel needed to build and run these new developments have a requirement for quality rental accommodation.
